Open the Surface app, expand Device information, and read the value next to Surface model — it names the exact device, like Surface Pro 9. No Surface app? Flip out the kickstand: the model is printed on the back panel near the hinge (a four-digit number like 1796 on some models). Or go to Settings, then System, then About.
