A hard reset, also known as a factory reset, will delete all information on a device and restore the software back to it’s original manufacturer settings. A hard reset should only be done if absolutely necessary as it removes all data from your device. Perform a hard reset if your Apple iPad Air is experiencing any of the following issues:
Ensure that your Apple iPad Air is turned on by pressing the power button.
Open the phone and from the Home Screen select the Settings app.
In the Settings menu tap on the General tab.
From the General menu select the Reset
Once in the Reset menu find and select “Erase All Content and Settings”
Select the “Erase iPad” to confirm reset your device.
If prompted, enter your password to finalize the reset.
Congratulations! The device has been restored to factory defaults.
